I made a girl cry today

30 11 2007

I had lunch with a friend today, we hadn’t seen each other for ages (about 18 months we worked out). So therefore we had a lot of catching up to do. I was telling her about when I was sick and my calm journey towards the light in hospital, which prompted her to start crying.

Of course being ever the gentleman, I assured her that I was not actually dead and handed her a tissue to dab her eyes with.

We then talked for three hours and wondered why, when we live just 15 minutes away from each other, that we are crap at keeping in touch and resolved to do something about it from this point on. Much as I imagine, a reflection on the technical age we live in today, we had resorted to using the book of face rather than actually seeing each other to keep in contact.
